Bud is very proud of his shield. It did have some nice feathers on the top and bottom, but Cutie pulled them off as soon as it was brought into the house. It has been very effective at blocking all the light sabre and sword attacks.
I used to be so anti-weapons, but some kids just have the warrior built in them. Bud would carry a remote around with him and pretend it was his gun before we broke down and got him a toy gun that shot foam suction-cup darts.
For some reason the chain pics made me laugh. It's just so very ridiculous!
My son no longer does the play fighting. For years he was a huge light sabering Jedi fanatic. He's the too cool adolescent now. Its sad to see it go, though I would never have guessed so at the time!
Oh, the light sabre issus!!!! Preschool was the beginning of the end of the light sabre ignorance around here. He doesn't have one...but uses a chopstick as a pretend one.

Is Bud doing Kindergarten this year? Is he available for playdates? J is always looking for dueling partners! :-)C
